Women Join DSA!

Capitalism no longer delivers the goods, except to the already privileged. Democratic socialists have an historic opportunity and responsibility to play a central role in fighting Trumpism and building on Bernie's political revolution.

We also know that the fight for democratic socialism must include a socialist feminist perspective because, in the words of Audre Lorde:

The failure to recognize difference as a crucial strength is a failure to reach beyond the first patriarchal lesson. In our world, divide and conquer must become define and empower.

Join us in this fight. You'll be in good company. Our membership has doubled since the election.

DSA is funded by our membership—not corporate foundations or private companies. This ensures that DSA members are in full democratic and political control of our organization. By paying dues, DSA members self-fund our own tools for liberation. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

All members of DSA receive a subscription to our quarterly magazine, Democratic Left (delivered to your email inbox), automatic access to DSA's activist webinar training series, and opportunities to become involved with other democratic socialists at either the local or national level. We especially encourage our new feminist members to join the Socialist Feminist Working Group.

When you join below, be sure to put in an email address you use regularly. You will get a welcome email right away with downloadable member resources.

The filmmakers were members of the New American Movement (a precursor of DSA), and the late Vicki Starr (aka Stella Nowicki) was a longtime member of Chicago DSA and the Chicago Women's Liberation Union.
